If there's anything worse than having a chronic illness nobody understands, I would say it would be having served your country, getting sick, and having the government tell you it's not real, not the government's problem, and having them wash their hands of you.
For that reason, I was really happy for anyone with Gulf War Syndrome when I came across this article.
